Second Fridays Open Late
w/ Marni Kotak’s “Dancing in the Oval Office”
We are pleased to announce that we will be open late from 6-9pm this Friday November 8th for our exhibition “Marni Kotak: Dancing in the Oval Office” as part of “Second Fridays: Open Late”, a building-wide event for all the galleries at 1329 Willoughby Avenue, Bushwick, Brooklyn!
Kotak, who is dancing during gallery hours in her version of the Oval Office will extend her performance until 9pm for the occasion. At 7:30pm, the exhibition’s lighting will be partially turned off, allowing the colored spotlights illuminating a spinning disco ball in her installation to fill the gallery for a special dancing session. The audience is encouraged to join and dance with the artist, or play songs of their choice at any time during the evening and exhibition.
Additional information about Kotak’s exhibition and performance follows below.
All the other galleries in our building — Century Pictures, King’s Leap, Koenig & Clinton, Tiger Strikes Asteroid NY (TSA), Transmitter, and Underdonk — will also be open with their current exhibitions!
