In conversation with Chris Bors

Rachel Phillips, “He Said What?”, installation view

Microscope is very pleased to present an artist talk and special reception with Bushwick-based artist Rachel Phillips in connection with her first solo exhibit at the gallery “He Said What?”. She will be joined in conversation by artist and writer Chris Bors.

Phillips will discuss among others the evolution of her paintings, her incorporation of materials such as glitter, aluminum foil, feathers and others into her works on canvas or wood panel, her use of the canvas surface and how certain restrictions helped shape the works.
