Microscope is very pleased to present a live in-person evening of sound by New York-based saxophonist Erin Rogers. Rodgers will be joined by guest artists Alec Goldfarb (guitar), Erica Dicker (violin), and Dennis Sullivan (percussion). The event will be both performed live in the space and live-streamed at the same time, for those unable to attend on-site.

The event celebrates the release of Roger’s second solo album “2000 Miles” from Relative Pitch Records. The album’s description reads:

“Rogers dives deep into the sonic underbelly of the instrument, uncovering a radiant world of curiosity and imagination. From human fragility to noisy virtuosity, Rogers forges an alternate voice for the saxophone, percussively blending tone with mechanism and melody with vocalization, gutturals and breath.”

Rogers will perform solo works from her recent release “2000 Miles”, followed by a set with guitarist Alec Goldfarb. Erica Dicker and Dennis Sullivan will open the evening with new work for strings and modified snare-drums.

The event will start promptly at 8pm.
