We are very pleased to present an evening of traditional and popular Spanish and Chilean music from the 18th century to the present performed live by the duo “Encounter of the Two Worlds” featuring lyrical singer Belem Abraham and classical guitarist Sebastián Molina, both visiting from Chile.

The approximately 60-minute program is in two parts, the first featuring songs by Chilean composers Antonio Restucci, Violeta Parra, Margot Loyola, and Victor Jara, the second songs by Spanish composers Manuel García, Manuel de Falla, and Joaquin Rodrigo. Abraham and Molina’s selections aim at revealing the mutual influences of the Spanish and Chilean music traditions.
